Step 1: How to Obtain the DevExpress 2017 Installer
There is no universal public download link for version 2017. You must use official DevExpress channels.
2.2 Select Installation Type
The installer offers three options:
- Complete: Installs all DevExpress products (WinForms, WPF, ASP.NET, Reporting, Dashboard, XPO, CodeRush, etc.) + Demos. (~3.2 GB)
- Custom: Choose only the components you need. Recommended for targeted development.
- Minimum: Installs only core libraries and basic Visual Studio extensions.
For most users: Choose Custom → Select your primary frameworks:

3.2 Compile a Test Project

- Set Installation Directory – Default:
