  1. Safety: Park on level ground, set parking brake, disconnect negative battery terminal.
  2. Access: Remove engine covers and any components blocking access to the coil.
  3. Disconnect electrical connector(s) from the coil/module.
  4. Remove mounting bolts and extract the coil/module.
  5. Compare new part to old for matching connectors and mounting.
  6. Install new coil/module, tighten bolts to manufacturer torque spec.
  7. Reconnect electrical connectors and battery negative terminal.
  8. Clear codes and perform a test drive; re-scan for codes.
