Step 1: Higher Timeframe (HTF) – Determine the Bias
- Action: Look at the Daily or 4H chart.
- Questions to answer:
- Is price above or below the 200-period EMA?
- Are there higher highs (HH) and higher lows (HL) = Uptrend? Or LH/LL = Downtrend?
- Is price at a major support/resistance level?
- Rule: Only trade in the direction of the HTF trend.

- Action: Identify the dominant trend. Is the price making higher highs and higher lows (Bullish) or lower highs and lower lows (Bearish)?
- Rule: If the monthly chart is in a downtrend, you should only look for shorting opportunities on lower timeframes. Do not fight the "King Trend."
Strategy B: The Divergence Pullback (Cryptocurrency)
- HTF (12H): RSI is above 70 (overbought, but don't short yet).
- MTF (1H): Price makes a higher high, but RSI makes a lower high (Bearish divergence).
- LTF (5M): Wait for price to break the last 5M swing low.
- Entry: At the break of the 5M structure.
